The WIAA D3 CC Sectional is coming to Albany this Saturday, October 26th. The girls varsity race starts at 11:00am & will be followed by the boys varsity race at 11:45am. The course opens at 9:30am for specators. (W1092 Dunphy Road, Albany, WI. 53502) This is a WIAA Sectional which requires $5 admission fee per person. All admissions will be collected on Dunphy Road before parking in a farm field near the course. All traffic must enter from WEST to EAST for runner safety. (Please read attached directions) We hope to see a great crowd on Saturday. GO COMETS!

Students at Albany Elementary School took part in a School Store fundraiser this fall. To date, families have raised a total of $8855.35 - $7990.00 in gift cards alone for classroom teachers. This is a remarkable feat for our little school! Thank you to those that participated.

Help us spread the word - Our high school staff and students are offering yard raking services to Albany community members. Contact us to sign up or sign up another person who needs assistance.

The Albany PTO will hold their Trunk or Treat event this Friday, October 25th from 6:00 - 8:00 at the Albany Lion's Club. In addition to the trunks, there is music and dancing, a bake sale and 50/50 raffle. We would like to invite you to Albany’s Veterans Day assembly, hosted by the Civics classes, held at Albany Schools (309 Vinton St. Albany, WI. 53502) on Monday, November 11th, 2024, from 9:45 A.M. to roughly 10:45 A.M. The assembly will include performances by the school’s band and choir, as well as quotes/poems read by the Civics students, and more. All guests are asked to enter at the new school entrance (gym entrance) on Vinton Street and proceed to the gym. We hope to see you there!

The #8 seed Albany Lady Comet volleyball team will host #9 seeded Black Hawk on Tuesday, October 22nd at the Comet Coliseum. This will be WIAA Regional Quarterfinal action. Admissions to the gymnasium will open at 6:00pm. Warm-ups will start at 6:35pm and game time at 7:00pm. Admission cost is $6 per person. NO passes, senior citizen, or student discounts are allowed during WIAA tournament play.

The School District of Albany is seeking an assistant coach for HS wrestling for the 2024-2025 season. Albany HS coops with Parkview HS for wrestling & this position would be an assistant coaching position hired by Albany and is expected to be a liason for Albany HS within the coop. The coach will teach knowledge and execution of basic fundamentals and techniques of the sport as well as prepare individuals/team physically, mentally, and emotionally to effectively compete to the best of their abilities. Coaches need to be available for the entire WIAA season and are paid an extra-curricular stipend for coaching. The due date for interested applicants to apply is Friday, November 8th, 2024. Approximate Length of Season ~ November 18th, 2024 - February 28th, 2025 Interested applicants should include a letter of interest and resume to Derik Doescher (AD) via email. IN SEARCH OF: Homecoming Dresses and Men's Dress Attire for students who may need help getting an outfit together for the Homecoming Dance this Saturday. If you have any of these items and they are clean, and gently used and no more than a couple years old, please consider donating them to our Care Closet for student's who may need help getting an outfit for the dance on Saturday. Second graders teamed up to create books about Ancient Chinese writing. Not only did they learn a lot of different facts, they also learned about working together.
