Albany's Middle School Track team wrapped up their season with a meet in Darlington. All athletes saw at least one PR in the last week of the season! Additionally, 7 athletes even hold titles for school records! They worked really hard and represented Albany so well!

The Spanish 3 and 4 students had their turn with funding from Education Foundation of the Albany Community Grants! They ate at Taquería Guadalajara. They tried a range of things, including horchata and cactus, and also managed to speak in nearly all Spanish during their visit!
The 8th grade FACS class has been enjoying the cooking labs! The Grand Taco Melts was the favorite so far!

Our 4K kids are cruising through their 100 Books Reading Challenge. This afternoon student is the 8th one to complete it, and there will be more to come we're sure!

Four more 4K students reached the goal of reading 100 books between home and school since our challenge began on April 9th. Congratulations! Way to go!
4K students and their 3rd grade "mentors" enjoyed their last day together by playing at the park. Each Thursday, morning 4K students partnered with Mrs. Searls' 3rd graders and the afternoon 4K kids worked with 3rd graders in Mrs. Freitag's class on math and reading activities.
2nd graders had a very "busy" day at Busy Barns Adventure Farm. What a great day!

Mrs. Scott (Joesiah's mom) treated the 2nd graders with a presentation about proper oral hygiene!
Third graders went to the Rock County Humane Society and the Daluge Farm on their field trip today. The kids did a service project and made treats for the dogs and cats waiting for forever homes. At the farm, we learned how a dairy farm works and sampled some ice cream.
Three 4K students met the Read to 100 Challenge. Since early April, families have been encouraged to track the number of books read to their children at home, in the car, at Grandma's, and at school. Congratulations to our 4K friends!
