The Kindergarten classes performed for the first time in music class this week! They worked on being an active performer and following a director. Students came up with their own movements for their performance of the song "March of the Ducks".

Parkview-Albany HS football will host Westfield this Friday, September 13th @ Parkview HS. (7:00pm) The student dress-up theme for this Friday is CONSTRUCTION WORKER! Get your hard helmets, safety vests, & other construction themed attire for this dress-up opportunity. Parkview Boosters will have safety vests for sale for $2 per vest at the game.

The Quilt Award Committee will be responsible for taking nominations of local veterans, establishing selection criteria, and choosing the recipient based on the set criteria.

On Friday, September 6th our Parkview-Albany HS football team hosts Palmyra-Eagle. This is a home game that will be played at Parkview HS with a start time of 7:00pm. The dress up theme for MS/HS students is "NEON NIGHT!" Albany MS/HS students that are going to the game should join the student section with your NEON theme. Go Vikings!

On Wednesday, August 21, 2024, the Albany School District Board of Education formally approved a resolution seeking a 3-year, non-recurring operational referendum. Information about the referendum can be found on the District website (www.albany.k12.wi.us).
The District will provide multiple avenues and opportunities to receive information and have questions answered about the referendum. We look forward to working with our community throughout this process.

We are seeking volunteers for a Quilt Award Committee to honor a local veteran!
As Veteran’s Day approaches, we are excited to announce an opportunity for community members to participate in a meaningful and heartfelt project. We are forming a Quilt Award Committee to select a deserving veteran (out of many) to receive a handcrafted quilt at this year’s Veteran’s Day celebration. Please join us for our annual Back to School Night Event on Tuesday, August 27th from 5:00 - 7:00! Students can meet teachers, drop off supplies, and see friends. School supplies are available for students at the district office entrance. Students and families can enjoy a free dinner thanks to the Albany WI Chamber and our amazing community partners.

Yesterday, the Albany School District staff spent the afternoon with members of the Green County Sheriff's Department training for threat situations. We greatly appreciate them sharing their expertise. It was a great experience!

Thanks to the Albany Lion's Club and generous community members, we are able to offer school supplies to families that need them. Supplies are located outside of the District Office at 309 Vinton St. Albany, WI. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 - 3:00. Supplies can also be picked up at Back to School Night on Tuesday, August 27th from 5:00 - 7:00.
